Riccardo Giumelli (1972), is married with Annachiara De Carlo with whom he had two twin daughters.
He graduated in Political Science from the University of Florence, Facoltà Cesare Alfieri, where he also earned a Master in Communications and Media and a PhD in Sociology of Communications.
Furthermore, he earned a Master in “International Communications Strategy” at the University of La Bourgogne, France, and one in Europlanning (Europa Cube Innovation Business School).
He is a sociologist, researcher and lecturer in Sociology of Cultural Processes at the University of Verona, as well as Head of the Italicos project: start up, first Italicity social network in the world.
He was a member of the Advisory Board for AssocamereEstero, on the Made in Italy topic, currently he is a member of the Strategic Committee Italics Wine Club, for the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Mumbai.
He writes as a columnist for La VOCE di New York, with the weekly column Italica. In the past he worked for the Italian Chamber of Commerce for France, in Paris (fairs and exhibitions sector), and for the OCSE Italian Representative (education, culture, labour, development). He is an author of national and international articles and a monograph on the Italicity paradigm: “Lo sguardo italico. Nuovi orizzonti del cosmopolitismo” (Liguori, Pub.).
